18 May 2006, 17:14 by mat35One of the best underground gigs I have ever… Ever been to! The whole fucking day, was amazing… Got in town pretty early with (former user)Tezor Humblebesmithe, and went a couple of bars, till about 7:30ish… Then we went in search for the attic, found it pretty quick then got ripped off for drinks for the rest of the night :o !!! The first band started at about 9… Can’t remember their name but they Blood Vigil were a pretty good warm up band, and kept going on about the game… (Unlucky Gunners :p ) The next band Vert I had listened to on last.fm, time ago…. But I swear they didn’t sound like they did last night!!! Maybe I listened to the wrong tracks or something… But, anyway. They were quite interesting and if I can find some stuff that sounds like they did last night, they are well worth checking out. This all leads up to Profane, a band that due to being turned away at the door, drummer being on their hols… and loads of other shit…
3 May 2006, 11:06 by bassistmetalfag1/ At the Gates - 92 plays
In my opinion, one of the greatest bands to grace to grace the Death Metal genre (or Melodic Death metal, if we're going to be all specific :p) shame they never made more albums :(
2/ Pantera - 81
All time favourite of mine, always turns up on my charts. Great band with great songs.
3/ Napalm Death - 61
from hardcore > grindcore > death metal > whatever the fuck the genre nazi's put them in now. Doesnt matter, legends and i love 'em!
4/ Nile - 22
Themed lyrics, mind blowing drumming and riffing and some amazing death metal vocals. Can't find a bad thing about them.
5/ Carcass - 16
Bill Steers post Napalm death project. Great melodic death metal (Heartwork)/ Grindcore
6/ Shellshock - 12
Drum and bass / Metal fusion band. Local band with a reasonable amount of success outside my area. Haven't got bored of them in all the years i've liked them and always a great live band.
7/ Rage Against the Machine - 11
