Biography

Shashki is hardcore-chanson project, which was born as a result of creative alliance of some non-standart Moscow musicians.

Shashki project is founded with the purpose of carrying all musical ideas ever suggested by participants of band to the point of absurdity. Minimalistic approach to arrangement, deliberate simplification of rhytmic patterns, original lyrics, sometines full of wholesome cynicism and common humour, sometimes demonstrating stangarts of large and eternal poetry, contrasting mix of various musical genres (such as , , , , , , , and many others)), all this creates unique space, where stereotypes are pulled down and there’s nothing stable. Welcome to the world of banalities, turned inside out.

Band:
Alexander Luchkov = vocals, violin, guitar
Vavan “Uley” Rodionov = vocals, bass guitar, guitar, piano
Max “Shar” Boronin = lyric electroguitar master
Mihail Kozodaev = drums

The founder of band is multi-instrumentalist Alexander Luchkov, who have been spotted participating in such bands as Mango-Mango, Derevyannoe Koleso, Smit & Vesson, Kortnev i Muzruki and some others.

Other hardcore-chanson ideologist, Vavan “Uley” Rodionov is a participant of youth extreme band “Ulyi” (together with master of lyric guitar master Maxim “Shar” Boronin). These three guys are a backbone of Shashki project. But very much other artists-instrumentalists contributed their share in point of hardcore-chanson.
