Biography

Sharifah Zarina Wan Hassan, better known as Sharifah Zarina, is a pop singer and restaurant entrepreneur from Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. She was born on August 8, 1981.

Sharifah Zarina is best known for her single "Langit Ketujuh" ('The Seventh Sky') which was released in 2005. In the same year, her self-titled album was also released. The success achieved by the song enabled her to become a finalist in various song contest in Malaysia, such as "Anugerah Juara Lagu" and "Hits1" in 2005.

In the subsequent year, Sharifah Zarina was nominated as Best New Artist in the 13th Anugerah Industri Muzik (Music Industry Award), though she eventually lost to Jaclyn Victor.
