Shadow Gallery is a six-piece American band from Pennsylvania. Their name is taken from the graphic novel V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and their musical style can be described as progressive metal. They have a reputation among fans for complex song structures and virtuoso musicianship and have been compared to contemporaries Dream Theater and Queensrÿche.
Vocalist Mike Baker, only 45 years old, passed away on October 29, 2008 of a heart attack.
Several members of Shadow Gallery have made their contribution to other projects like MullMuzzler, Ayreon, Explorers Club and Star One.
All members of Shadow Gallery have fairly successful, busy lives outside the band (several are audio engineers). They’ve never played a live show.

I have just noticed that the piano part of Christmas Day gets everywhere - it's also in Manhunt and if you listen carefully, it's in First Light about 22 minutes in, when it fades out.

Another thing to note. Members of SG are big fans of queen. You can hear a tribute to them... Listen to the middle section (the vocal one) of The Prophet's Song by Queen. Then check 2:56 from 'With Honor' and 4:04 from 'Rain'. :)

Is it just me, or does the beginning of the song "Digital ghost" sound just exactly like Dream Theater's "Take the Time"? Speaking of which, that's some funny and curious song. They start like Take the time, then the song turns out to sound like one happy, delightful angra song (especially on the chorus), and the guitar after the 1st chorus which sounds a lot like Pain of Salvation. Then put to some riffing and keyboarding part like a Pink Floyd-Rush mixture =O it's a very interesting mix to me anyway, but I wrote it down in this shoutbox just to ask if someone else noticed the same thing I did
