Sex Android was formed by vocalist Gilly in the wake of Phaidia’s break-up.

The band was signed to the legendary punk/new-wave label City Rocker
Records and was active through the late 80s, releasing two records.

a futuristic twist on Japan’s positive punk scene, Sex Android took
gothic music in a new direction that was less funereal and macabre, but
more dystopic and grim. Their sounds conjure up images of a bleak,
soulless society, a chilling indictment of progress at the expense of
our collective humanity.
