Serena Matthews (b. 1975) has lived in Tennessee all of her life. She writes songs about made-up folks living made-up lives in a made-up world that kind of resembles this one. She went to school for Photography, minored in English and spent the past 5 years working in a digital photography lab just outside of Nashville.

Telling stories through songs, she passes the time. Most often she is compared to Patty Griffin, Joanna Newsom and Mazzy Star’s Hope Sandoval.

She wrote this in 3rd person because the last entry was deleted because she didn’t do so. She hates speaking in 3rd person about herself. But wow, sometimes she just has to do it…
