The second studio album by Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura, released in 1987 through Cogumelo records. It is the first album of the band with Andreas Kisser. The album's sound leads more towards the thrash metal genre than the previous album Morbid Visions, which is basically a death metal record. All songs were recorded during August 1987, except for the bonus track "Troops of Doom" which was recorded during August 26-27, 1990.

I love its sound. It sounds so genuinely metal with its bad production and live-feeling.

I was totally mad about this album back in my mid-teens when I was a thrashoholic. I remember thinking that I like it's raw sound (always did like raw sounds on records) and pissed off thrash. This is one of few thrash albums I still listen to now and then. When Sepultura still was underground - classic!

Looking back, this is probably their best...either this or Arise.

I really dig the drums on this one. Great primitive thrash!
