The lyrics were written by Vince Millett but performed by Peter Sharpe aka The Talking Dog. The track deals with the co-opting of the Christian message by the Christian-military-industrial complex, particularly in the US, and how it has presented a very false version of Jesus to the world and even deceived many Christians. Although the lyrics are slightly out of date now as they refer to GWB, the issues are still relevant as the Tea Party movement tries to claim a religious basis. Secret Archives of the Vatican have discussed writing an updated version of the tune but no decisions have been made yet.
