Sheffield, United Kingdom ( 2008 – present)

Searching 4 Evidence are an Indie / Alternative Rock / Punk (ish) band from Sheffield. They formed in Spring 2008 when they were all 13 years old. The band are:

Lewis Hancock - Lead vocals and guitar
Jack Eddison - Lead guitar and vocals
James Brown - Bass guitar and vocals
Kierran Bond - Drums and vocals

They all attended Ecclesfield School, the school that also boasts The Ratells and Arctic Monkeys as former pupils. After seeing a poster on the history corridor, James suggested the name ‘Searching 4 Evidence’. They played their 1st gig in December 2008 and quickly built up a very loyal and passionate fan base. They now regularly play venues on the established Sheffield Indie music scene and played at the Sheffield City Hall in December 2009. In April 2010 they played at the O2 Academy in Sheffield as part of ‘Soundlclash presents - S1’, the biggest concert for unsigned bands Sheffield has ever seen.

As of July 2011 they have released 3 EPs and 1 single. These are the 4 track EP ‘Seen her before’, the live EP ‘Get Out’ (recorded at The Plug in Sheffield), their 3rd EP, ‘Silly Little Girl’ and the single ‘Heart of Neglect’…

S4E’s brand of catchy, melodic song writing is definitely their own but Influences include Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Pigeon Detectives, Kaiser Chiefs, The Wombats & Oasis.
