The Muchkins are a freak-indie band from Central Scotland. Their music is often fuzzy with occasional rainbow coloured pyschedelic explosions. The band started life as a three piece by life-long friends (Jamie Ormiston (bass/voice), Gordon Barr (guitars/synths/voice), and Grunt Anderson (drums/wisdom).
There are three bands called the Horror 1. The Horror is a hardcore punk band that started life in Leeds when 4 members of Voorhees and 1 member of imbalance before splitting and then reforming some years and are now based in London. Their latest elease "the spoils of war" came out in 2009
Every 5 years or so Billy Childish is cited by a current top band as the embodiment of rock ‘n’ roll integrity, and every 5 years or so Billy splits his group up and starts again from scratch. With his latest combo, The Musicians of the British Empire, Billy carries on his tradition of home made punk and rhythm and blues.
Richard "Dickie" Rock was the frontman of the Miami Showband, three members of which were murdered in 1975. Before he was famous Dickie was an apprentice welder. Dickie was the subject of a well-known Irish catchphrase - "spit on me Dickie". The phrase took off in Belfast in the 60s and spread all over the country. Between 1963 and 1977 Dickie and the Miami Showband had eight top ten hits.
Charlie and The Bhoys are an Irish band, based in Glasgow, Scotland. The band traces its roots some 19 years ago, when they played their first concert at the Squirrel Bar near the Gallowgate, Glasgow in 1989.
