Sea of Souls formed in Virginia Beach, VA and quickly become a top local artist.

They released several albums on local record labels. Their last studio release, “Flowers and Landmines”, was also made available on the original website (not the current DRM-laden

Their debut release, “Titanic”, spawned a local hit with the song “HEROINe”. It became a top request for local rock station FM99 WNOR even years after its release.

Though they have a different style, artists such as Mötley Crüe’s Nikki Sixx have praised the band.

King’s X members also became fans of the band, even playing a couple Sea of Souls tracks during their practice and warm-up sessions.

Despite getting a lot of attention everywhere they played, and having such big names praising them, Sea of Souls never managed to take that popularity to a national level.

While a formal announcement was never made, Seas of Souls disbanded in 2003 and former members have moved on to other projects such as Nemesis and Revery.

Much to the delight of Sea of Soul’s ardent fans, a lineup consisting of Andrew McNeely (Vocals & Bass), Steve Archer (Drums), John O’Neil (Guitar), and Noel Winslow (Guitar) performed before a near-capacity crowd at the The NorVa in Norfolk, VA on September 20th, 2013.

Another performance at a location to be determined is scheduled for October, 2013.

I love their music! I remember the days of Neptune festival in Va beach, on stage, the machine, towne point festivals in Norfolk and several other places like petersburg, va, CBGB's in NY,NY!! I agree with johndoe416....Sea of Souls should have made the big leagues!!! The world missed out on a great band!! Just ask Tommy Lee of Motley Crue!

Remember getting to see these guys at a hole in the wall club in Norfolk along Military Highway,(I think it was military highway). They were pretty good. I only have the Sea of Souls on tape at that. Found a way to bring it into the digital age so I can play it on my mp3 player.
