STM was formed back in 2006 under the moniker of Thinking Of You. However, that band sucked a big one, and Scott decided it would be best to venture out on his own and write soulful jams that would tame the hearts of the weary.
Over the course of the past year alone STM has made headway in the underground indie music scene and is currently on rotation within several college radio stations, and has also been heard on stations throughout major cities such as Los Angeles, New York City & Chicago.
Best known for his lyrical hooks, STM’s writing style is one that can certainly catch the listeners attention. His first studio EP “BTWGFY” dropped on May 25th, 2010, and has had it’s fair share of success. Walker has released two full lengths (The 2009 Demos & Speak It Like A Secret) and one EP (The Stiff Knee EP) since his debut in 2010.
Speak It Like A Secret dropped during the Summer of 2011, and hailed such reviews as; “…It didn’t feel like I was listening to an unsigned artist at all,” and “Walker’s voice is soothing, his simple song structure fits perfectly with the lyrics. Absolutely love everything about this release.”
After releasing “Speak It Like A Secret”, Walker immediately started working on a new project. When asked about it all he had to say was, “I know that I just released SILAS, but I don’t know, when inspiration hits you’ve just got to go with it.” Just two short months after SILAS, “The Stiff Knee EP” was released to the public. Within a week of it’s debut, the release leaked on several websites and blogs across the web.
