During the recent concert seasons, Scott Lavender has become an increasingly regular and much loved conductor in the world of Symphony Pops. Whether he is performing his own unique arrangements in his own dazzling Symphony Pops concerts, or collaborating on stage with artists such as Glenn Yarbrough, Toni Tennille, and Johnny Mathis, Scott Lavender regularly is a welcomed guest with more and more orchestras around the globe.

Scott has conducted orchestras throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain including the National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Atlanta Symphony, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. His pops programs Scott Goes to the Movies, Around America in 80 Minutes, Top of the Tube, and Scott’s Holiday Celebrations are offered now to orchestras and audiences across North America.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and pursued graduate studies in jazz at North Texas State, and earned a Masters Degree in Instrumental Conducting from California State University, Northridge. His recent guest-conducting appearances included performances of Borodin and Shostakovich with the Pacific Symphony as well as leading the Chautauqua Institute Orchestra in an evening of music, both light and classical, from film.
