The vibe given off by SCM Electrix is like a very pleasant journey through a windmill of emotions. A band that sprung and has swam through the music scene in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. SCM Electrix wants to show the world what Muscle Shoals has, but the sound they put through their amplifiers are sound that travel through the soul. Ivannoel Gonzalez, native of Mexico and the lead singer, belts a semi-Joplin-like gravel along side his sharp blues styling makes for an emotional moment. He uses his crunch-to-soul Hendrix Floyd influenced guitar sound to the elaborate the creativity of the beast of their rhythm section known as Lacey Smith and Taylor Von Jones. They place a backbone hype behind the post-psychedelic sound. Lacey, native to the Athens Alabama area, lays a fat Muscle Shoals sound groove to the rip and roar of the guitar. And even farther back, but not ignored is barbaric crash and bang of Taylor Jones, native of the Muscle Shoals area. Whose style is that of his very own, but very reminiscent of the late John Bonham. The band is an emotional ride through the mind from simple sadness to complex thought.
