Biography
The band was started a few years ago but did not initially contain all the band members that make up Scissor today. The band began when lead guitarist, Tommy, collaborated with his friend and lead vocalist, Eric, to play acoustic shows around the Norman area. Later, after meeting at a party and playing a few classic hits with their new friend, Jacob, they decided to make Scissor a more serious project. Scissor commenced with the semi-final line-up of Tommy on lead guitar, Eric on vocals and guitar, Jacob on drums, and the questionable membership of their other friend San on bass. They eventually ditched the idea of San playing with them and recruited yet another friend, Jon, to join the ranks thus completing Scissor as we know them today.
"Scissor isn’t your typical musical group in the sense that they are completely original. They are a lively part of what is commonly known as the “Norman music scene,” playing local venues and making their name known to variety of contacts. This one of a kind group of young men is the perfect combination of creativity and originality, which makes for very successful music. Their unique discourse is generally beneficial to upkeep and progress this band maintains, and from what I have witnessed, we can only expect more innovative music to be produced by these talented artists."
