1) Scientist, born Overton Browne in Kingston, Jamaica, 1960 (and also known as Hopeton Browne), was a protégé of King Tubby, one of the originators of dub music. He came to prominence in the early 1980s and produced many albums during the first half of the decade.
2) The Scientist is an alias for Phivos Sebastiane also known as Pure Science
