School of Language is a pseudonym of Field Music’s David Brewis. The album Sea From Shore was released during Field Music’s break from band activities in 2008. A second solo record, Old Fears, was released in April 2014.

Both School of Language albums were self-produced at Field Music’s studio in Sunderland in the north-east of England.

I noticed that too. Do hope that means some cash for the band too. I have a musician friend who got royally ripped off by Sainsbury's when they used one of his band's songs.

Swoopv3, the line is "cherry-picked start". And yes, my teeth do smell of fresh wood, though my pickpocketing days are long gone

Dave Brewis lives under the sea and his teeth smell of fresh wood. I know because I went to pickpocket academy with him.

Er, nevermind. Looks as though someone finally edited the Dodos' AD. Thank fucking goodness.

Poor Boy, Rockist Part 4, and This is No Fun are my favorite tracks. Also, I agree with thither on the artist description being pretentious, overdone shit. I've seen worse on this site (favorite example being the Dodos' page), but not by much.
