Weight, rhythm, swing, pulse. These are just a few of the words that can be used to describe the band SAYOWA and what these 6 musicians from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, can do best.

The band has an enviable curriculum that guarantees them a lot of respect from influent music artists: they have toured Europe 3 times, playing in countries such as Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Belgium and Spain, where they played a few times with Sepultura and also shared the stage with Megadeth and Fear Factory.

The first SAYOWA album, called “Treme Terra”, has 11 tracks, one of them was mixed by Billy Graziadei (former Biohazard singer/guitarist, now playing with Suicide City), in his studio in New York. Another great reinforcement to the album is Sepultura’s guitar player Andreas Kisser, who recorded guitar in 3 tracks.

After their second European tour the band was invited to record one track for the tribute album to Megadeth, called “Hangar de Almas” (Hangar of Souls), that was released in Argentina and features artists such as Paul D’Ianno, former Iron Maiden singer.

SAYOWA has just finished their second album, called “Sayowa”. The album was produced by Andreas Kisser and Stanley Soares, sound tech who works now with bands such as Sepultura and Motorhead. For it´s Latin-American version the album features the track “A Verdade e a Fé” (The Truth and the Faith), a partnership between SAYOWA and Andrés Giménez, former singer and guitar player of argentinian band A.N.I.M.A.L., actually playing with his new band D-Mente.

2005 vor ProPain live gesehen und sofort geliebt. Schade, dass es die letzte CD nicht zu kaufen gibt.
