In Defense of the Genre is the third full-length studio album by American band Say Anything, released on October 23, 2007 through J Records as a double disc album.

  • Awesome album, right up there with ...Is A Real Boy. Maybe better even.
  • Arguably their best album, new style that worked well. Each song just has its own ring to it and flow.
  • This album kicks butt!!!!
  • disc 2 > disc 1 [2] But it took a while for disc 2 to grow on me, what an album though.
  • This album has grown on me sooo much the last half year or so.

  • other way around for me. i only like 4 or 5 songs on the first disc, but i love nearly all of the songs on the second.
  • 1st disc is pure gold, 2nd one is hit and miss, but still good.
