Several bands have gone by the name ‘Sato’.
(1) Sato were a heavy metal band formed in Seattle in 1982.
In 1983 Jeff Gilbert of Ground Zero Records was producing a compilation album called ‘Northwest Metalfest’ which was released in March the following year. One of the bands featured were the American hard rock band Sato with the song “Leather Warrior”. The track was recorded at Triad Studios in Seattle, Washington, with producer Tom Hall. Bassist Mike Starr later joined Gypsy Rose and then found world fame and success with Alice in Chains.
