Sascha Konietzko

June 21, 1961 in Hamburg, Germany), also known as Sascha K and Käpt’n K, is the frontman of industrial band KMFDM, having founded the group in 1984. He is the only member of KMFDM to appear on every album. He has worked on many other projects, such as Excessive Force (with Buzz McCoy), Schwein (with Raymond Watts, Atsushi Sakurai, and Hisashi Imai), and in 2000 joined Lucia Cifarelli and Tim Skold to form MDFMK.

He relocated to the United States in 1990, dividing his time between Chicago and Seattle before settling in Seattle permenantly.

Konietzko married KMFDM vocalist Lucia Cifarelli in July 2005.

In 2006, Konietzko and Cifarelli teamed with Dean Garcia for a the project KGC. Their first album Dirty Bomb was released on December 14, 2006.
