Biography

“Sarah Burton is the very epitome of an emerging recording artist in some ways - she is working on her first EP - but her songwriting and execution are well beyond “emerging.” ” — Andy Frank, CIUT 89.5 FM

Sarah Burton is a provocative songstress whose stimulating lyrics are characterized by their playful wit and often flagrant honesty.

With a sound that is soft and sweet yet somber and jarring, Sarah combines feelings of strength and vulnerability into one complex emotion.

Since 2003 Sarah has graced many stages in Canada with her sweet irony. 2006 saw her complete her first cross-Canada tour, and begin recording her first EP, entitled Love is for Pussies, with Producer, John Switzer.

Love is for Pussies features Gary Craig on drums, Steve Briggs on guitar, John Switzer on bass, and numerous special guests, including guitarist/vocalist, Graham Powell, and Flamenco guitarist, Jorge Miguel. Look for Love is for pussies in the summer of 2007.
