Tokyo, Japan (2007 – 2012)

Saori@destiny was a Japanese electropop and house/techno artist produced by Oonishi Terukado, who also produces Aira Mitsuki. She began performing street lives in Tokyo, Japan, in the first half of 2007, and was signed with D-topia Entertainment, releasing her first indie single that December. In March 2008 she made her “major debut” from the same label, but this time distributed by Victor Entertainment. in 2012, Saori@destiny had announced she was going on hiatus. Two years later she resurfaced as her new stage name Saoriiiii and announced her first performance in over two years on September 15th, 2014.

Her songwriting included themes of suicide, depression, experimentation, and drugs. This contrasting sound, a young, “cute”, Japanese girl singing about dark human issues to upbeat electronica, had contributed to her underground success as an artist in Japan.

She has an account on Twitter, which you can find here.

Looks like someone added the new artist page. Anyway, the single came out a few days ago. called "runaway?" and the b-side is an islandhouse remix. she's also featured in "Real World" by CANDLES.

"Who knows...she may come back one day, or decide to have a normal existence. Her choice" not really her choice considering it all depends whether someone will make songs for her.

I like Saori and Aira (I think Meg is better than either, fight me) but I won't pick a favourite. Who knows...she may come back one day, or decide to have a normal existence. Her choice

God, I... I... Can't believe... I didn't like her music to much when I first heard, but now that I heard again, I think that she was so good... I'm really gonna miss her.
