Sam Sever aka Sam Citrin is a composer and producer from New York. He has produced albums for Def Jam groups 3rd Bass and Downtown Science and also appeared in the Run-D.M.C. film “Tougher Than Leather” as the Beastie Boys DJ. He also remixed the Beastie Boys track “Intergalactic”.

Sever released under the name “Sam Sever And The Raiders Of The Lost Art” with the label Mo’ Wax but in interviews has stated that he has never received any royalty payments for the tracks he gave them. Nevertheless, “What’s That Sound? (Fucked Up Sound)” (1995) is considered a classic Mo’ Wax release by fans of the label. Sam is currently signed to Old New York Music.
