    There are two kinds of live albums. You have the ones that don't really make you regret you weren't there, and the ones that do. Unfortunately, most live albums are of the first kind. It never sounds on cd like it sounds in real life.

    This album is of the second kind. What do I say, it is of the kind that makes you want to cut off an arm (or any other vital body part) if that would mean you could have been there after all. Because daaaaaaaaaaaamn, this is a superb album!

    Sam Cooke (He added the -e because it sounded more sofisticated, haha) is an unbelievable live performer. I have no idea if he is handsome or not, but based on this album, I suspect he is :) The man has an unbelievable charisma, and in the way he talks to (and plays) the public, he is a perfect entertainer. Not only does he make perfect bridges between different songs (sometimes by meddling in fragments of previous songs)…
