Jonathan King, British pop impresario, created the studio 'band' Sakkarin to release a rock n roll cover of the song "Sugar Sugar", initially released by the The Archies, in 1971. The cover was an international hit. The term Sakkarin is a reference to the chemical sweetener saccharin.
