Biography

Saint Rush ( Mikkel Rübert Hansen) was born on January 30th, 1975. Growing up in Copenhagen capital of Denmark, music early on became a big part of his life. Listening to classical music and artists like Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis and U2, he developed a taste for the grand and emotional music.

Around 2000 Mikkel got an education in 3D computer animation, and did various projects for the school. One of these project was an animation video of a musicstudio, accompanied by music of William Orbit ( Adagio for strings ). This music spawned the idea of getting into dance/trance music. When he heard Ferry Corsten`s version of the same song, he was hooked.

Later on Mikkel started to produce music under the alias Saint Rush and got his first record deal with the italian record label, Emotive Sounds. The first release “Pyro” was an instant success and was selected on compilations such as Mazza & Martinelli’s “Trance Session”. Saint Rush is already beeing supported by top dj`s like Armin Van Buuren, Mike Shiver, Andy Moor, Ronski Speed, Mark Pledger, Super 8 & Tab, Gareth Emery, Graham Gold and many more. Furhermore Saint Rush appeared on Armin Van Buuren`s A State Of Trance radio show in episode 278 ( Tune Of The Week ) and episode 290 (Ishido remix). And on Anjunabeats Worldwide 014.
