Easily Saint Etienne's worst offering... not bad though.

@farpin I took out all of the Michael Jayston bits from the album years ago, it was worth the time

I really like the Michael Jayston parts as they align this album with the Ghost Box guys.

The deluxe edition features even more Michael Jayston... ugh. The b-sides and the stuff from "Interlude" on the bonus disc are great though. I've warmed up to this album a lot since 2002 but I still only listen to my own version with the spoken parts edited out.

I agree with farpin, re-editing the album myself really improved the album. Even so, it is their least great album for me

Some great songs here but not my favorite album by them. The Michael Jayston bits are really annoying - thank goodness for audio editing software
