Croydon, England (1990 – present)

Saint Etienne are an / trio which formed in Croydon, England in 1990. The band was founded by journalist Bob Stanley (born December 25, 1964) and Pete Wiggs (born May 15, 1966) in Croydon, UK, January 1990. Better than most of their contemporaries. Oasis and Blur you're having a laugh? Only Pulp reached Saint Etienne's high standards

Bob Stanley's new book "Yeah Yeah Yeah" is well worth picking up... not flaw-free but very detailed and insightful.

I wish they'd gotten around to fixing the "Blofeld Buildings" glitch on the Sound of Water deluxe, but at least we already had that track on Eric Random.

What went on with the recent reissues? Foxbase Alpha / So Tough / Finisterre / Turnpike House deluxe editions are easy to find, but Tiger Bay / Good Humor / Sound of Water deluxe editions are like gold dust.
