Saille was founded by Dries Gaerdelen in 2008, in order to create his favorite style of music (melodic black metal with a threatening feel, like Tartaros, Limbonic Art and Keep of Kalessin). • Well, I've got just three songs that have grown on me: Emerald, Dagon and Eater of Worlds. For their 1) classical structures, calming blastbeats and ascending guitars, 2) symphonies and Ia screams, 3) and avant-garde-like elements accordingly. I also tried to identify to which novels Eldritch's songs can be referred. I got: Emerald and Cold War to "At the Mountains of Madness" (Elder Things and Shoggoths accordingly), Eater of Worlds to "The Thing on the Doorstep", Dagon to "The Shadow Over Innsmouth" (obviously), and Aklo to "The Horror at Red Hook". What about other 4 songs? Anyone?
• I'm also not really into the new record. Today I've got the Digi from Aural, but the beer-Box is also on the way to me, probably I'll sell both again. The Ritu-Box was also looking much better and also fit the Lovecraftian concept much more than Eldritch. Actually it looks and sounds a bit like a sell-out.
• Lovecraft and symphonic black metal? I'm sold.
• Hm. Can't say I like Eldritch so far. Previous songs gave feeling of horror penetrating through skin, frightened with sudden solo twists and just were similar yet diversified simultaneously. The new ones are just similar.
• New album is great.
• Like musical video by Saille on song: "Blood Libelo".
