SUGIZO has released a multitude of solo work since 1997, including the albums Truth?, C:LEAR, Soundtrack, Silent Voice ~Acoustic Songs of Soundtrack~ and the elusive H.ART CHAOS, as well as compliation and remix albums. Sugizo has worked with artists such as Nicholas Tse, Vivian Hsu and bice as well as starring in the film Soundtrack. He is known for his anti-war sentiments and progressive sound.

Sugizo is best-known as lead guitarist and at times-violinist of LUNA SEA. Recently, he played a major part in The FLARE, who have since split. Sugizo’s name should be capitalised when referring to solo releases.

This year YOSHIKI and GACKT announced, that Sugizo will be the lead guitarist in so-called superband, a.k.a S.K.I.N. along with Miyavi.

On Dec 31st 2008 Sugizo was the special guest guitarist For the X-Japan Countdown Gig At Alaska Blitz in Japan. Making many wonder if he will be the sixth member of X-japan and to shadow the late great HIDE.
