Ryoko lived in England from 1995 - 2004. graduated from Sound Engineering college in UK, worked as assistant sound engineer mainly at Mark Angelo recording studio for 2 years. While staying close to electronic device/equipment, she was intrigued by sounds of electronics. that lead her to go through the creation of dance music, electronica, then sound art / electronic acoustic music. she enjoys the field of early electronic world / comtemporary sound art.
from 2000, Melange Records began. achives of 15 releases (her own / other artists). having collaborated with sounds and viduals, she travelled to Europe, Japan, America to join in festivals and concerts. Having worked with Eliane Radigue, Kaffe Mattews, AGF, Tony Conrad, etc, all once rested when she decided to go back to Japan.
she became a disciple to a Japanese traditional NAGAUTA singer and also works on her own music and other materials in Miyagi prefacture.
