Version 4

Singer, songwriter, & producer, Ryan Hess, was born in Xenia, OH in 1976. Although the songwriter has written and recorded over 300 songs in his relatively young lifetime, it is quite interesting that he released his first album, “Standing in Elysium” in 2010. The album features 17 songs he selected to represent his diverse musical nature.

His debut album, “Standing in Elysium” takes you on a sonic journey with extraterrestrial production and swift variety between each of the 17 tracks. Although Ryan writes and produces the majority of his tracks, he is also inclined to work with fellow friends / musicians. Matthew Fairchild and Matthew Hahn join Ryan on a hand full of tracks on the album. Both guest artists are good friends of Ryan. Matthew Hahn is one of the most spirited guitarists I know and it’s always been easy for us to work together on a musical level. He played guitar on “What You Think is Real,” “Until I Saw You,” “You Became the Reason,” and “Stolid Ones.” Matthew Fairchild has a very amazing voice and very unconventional guitar style, which makes it a delight to record every chance we get.”

Ryan is currently working on his new album and also will be writing / recording with Matthew Fairchild in their side band, Vintage Karma. They plan on releasing a full-length album in the very near future. In the meantime, you can enjoy the 17 tracks featured on “Standing in Elysium.”
