jes2cool - We have to get together one day and share a beer or cocktail and reminisce about the KTWV/94.7 (not to be cofused with KMET/94.7!)...that was truly a GREAT station in the mid to late 80s and where I first began listening to some of my favorite New Age artists like David Arkenstone, Yanni, Patrick O'Hearn, Ray Lynch, Lanz and Speer, etc....you are correct, now it has definitely become SAX-RADIO...which is not bad, but perhaps not good. I miss those days...I guess that means you and I are gettig OLD. :-/
Of course. Ryan Farish an LA DJ. Wasn't he the daytime DJ for KWVE (K-Wave)? The station is still around but no longer is into N/A music. It's now "Jazzz...smoooth Jazz". Smooth Jazz translation: Saxapohone, lots and lots of saxaphone. I'm not knocking Kenny G, but continuous back to back selections from his and similarly inclinded artists? Aarrrgghhh! I so miss the '80s. Ah, the "Wave" was my station then. Thanks LastFM for indulging an old far..ossil's a moment of fond memories.
Yess! Even before I read his bio, I knew he had to be a Southern Ca. boy. He's captured the coast dead on. Moonlight beach, maybe Swami's, or even San Onofre. Wow, the only thing he left out were a line of wave hoppin' pelicans.
