Some of Ryan's other stuff is better than Rock n Roll, especially Heartbreaker, but this is still a fantastic album. I agree with Shades79, this what mainstream should sound like.

It could have been far better had it contained more Strokesy songs like Don't Even Know Her Name. But like Shades79 said, he simply set out to make a bad album on purpose.
