  • I love this album so, so much. Bleak and beautiful. The cover art is stunning too; I have the album on vinyl on my wall.
  • 3 years on since I made a comment on this album. It is still as beautiful to me now as it was back then. It is THEE album to get you through a difficult time. There are no words to even start to describe how much I love this album. I'll take it to my grave with me. I love it that much.
  • my favourite, his best
  • Oh, and of course the alt-country of Carolina Rain. Who cares about genre anyway, its just a cracking album :D
  • The most overlooked RA album, and probably my favourite. There's quite a ghostly ambiance to it, and its just beautiful. I'd say this album best represents him too, as you have the blues-rock (29), the troubadour (most of the songs tbh) and also the melodrama of The Sadness. This is one to listen to alone in the evening, through headphones. Plus, he drew that beautiful cover himself.
  • definately one of his best, if not THE best.
  • The best he's ever done. The least recognised too.
  • this album portrays a suicide. stages of live as the guy is dying. greatness
  • Jacksonville City Night's is much better. If you love Carolina Rain, you'll love JCN
  • it's getting better & better.
