Rún (Kyiv, Ukraine - pronounced “roon”)
The band Rún (from Gaelic: secret, intention, motion (of a dialog); in the word-combination “a rún” – my love, my dear) is the band from Kyiv, Ukraine, founded in 2001 as a consequence of “celtomania” of its members and their striving for creativity. Since then they perform the traditional music of celtic folk in the form it exists nowadays, having the Irish traditional music as the main focus. They study the authentic styles of playing and try to perform them on traditional instruments.

Lineup (2007):
* Olga Kuzmanenko - bodhrán
* Anastasia Kandyrina - fiddle, viola
* Igor Sivak - flute, tin- and low-whistles, piano-accordeon, Scottish pipes, Galician gaita, Ukrainian sopilka and Ukrainian old-time bandura
* Mykola Ivanov - viola, fiddle and mandoline
* Andrey Yakovenko - guitar, bouzouki and singing
