Chronz, Martika and Troy, hailing from London, come together to form RD (Ruff Diamondz). As the name suggests they are tough and raw, yet precious, with hunger and fresh appeal. They’re ready to take on the scene!
All individual personalities, performers and writers, they are now working as one dynamic collective. Despite newly emerging they are already creating a buzz within the industry, with top producers and artist lining up to work with them.
Their musical style is formed from their own distinctive sound, incorporating original UK Mc’ing with real RnB vocals. They combine classic RnB influences like TLC, 702 and Total with inspiration taken from home grown talent such as N-Dubz, Chipmunk, Wiley & Ghetto.
RD hit you with a wicked pop sensibility for a big tune. The musical brew is powerful, commercial and difficult to resist. They talk about life experiences from a young female perspective and lean on concepts that hit you with some edge and lyrics that stand out from the usual pop confection. With these different shades and styles jamming together, ‘RD’ offer something new - “Street Pop”! Although you can’t casually place them in a neat little box, one thing is for sure - you can’t ignore them.
