Avalon is a beautifully lush, extremely well produced song about a love that initiates at the end of a party. The Avalon album entered the UK album chart on 5th June 1982 and spent 57 weeks on chart, reaching No.1 (their third UK No.1 album and last studio album). The single Avalon was the second single released from the album after ‘More than This’. The song is written by the lead singer Bryan Ferry, mixed by Bob Clearmountain and produced by Rhett Davies and Roxy Music. Avalon has been performed and recorded ‘live’ too.
