I'm standing in a suit
As ragged as my nerves
And I agree what I've become
Is surely worth the hatred
That you spat on me
The stars above me
The night so deep
That I could trip or drown
And still I see that you would dearly love
To shut me down
Pashing with the devil at the bus stop...
To those of you whom call him ugly.... Damn. Shame on you.
He was one of the most beautiful ones both physically and mentally. And oh, so very talented.
Sad I didn't get to see him 2007/2008 when I discovered him.
He had so much more to give, both to his family & musically. Few people remain this good all thru their life, like Rowly did.
Rest in peace, Rowly.
Fuck it, I miss Rowland. Teenage Snuff Film and Pop Crimes are easily up there with the best albums I've ever heard. 'This is a warning, a gun to the head thing // This is a sign, don't get out of bed thing."
On some songs he has some similariy to Michael Gira of Swans, I agree, but on the whole he doesn't sound too much like him. His voice is a bit lighter and less rough than Gira. A gritty sound in both camps though, I hadn't heard Teenage Snuff Film before, it's brilliant!
