Biography

Rounds are a British trio, consisting of Andrew Chapman (guitar, synths), Robert Cooper (vocals, synths) and Ashley Kemp (drums, sampler). Having collaborated for a long time, Rounds have developed into an unique electronic act, whose live set up incorporates drums, synths and live vocals with a large array of digital instrumentation.

Their intricate melodies and beats are influenced by their far reaching musical background, and the development of the UK bass scene over the last couple of years. Their debut EP, Escapist, was released on moun10 in July 2012, featuring two remixes by L.A. based producer Anenon, and Fauna.

Their second EP ‘Falter’ was released on Blind Colour records in January 2013. The title track has recieved airplay on Radio 1 (Huw Stephens), 6 Music (Steve Lamacq), XFM (Jon Kennedy and Eddie Temple Morris) and NME Radio.

Rounds were also a US band who play fantastic acid jazz with a noise-pop twist. Psychedelic trip-hop overtones with subtle post-rock nuances that dance with that krautrock gentleman in the overcoat. Be-bob asks dub to swing and the tropicalia prog-folk singer eats Thurston Moore.
