Biography

1987 Sebastian Camara a.k.a. Rootz One, was born in Sweden Malmö, where he grew up and still lives. He got the best of both worlds, by his father from Guinea Conakry (west Africa) and his mother who’s from Poland.

His passion for music started at the age of 5 or 6, when he got inspired by the sound of Michael Jackson that his mother often used to play. And from that time on, he wanted to become a singer.
A few years later, at the age of 13, he made his first recordings in a homemade studio with some school friends. At that time it was hip hop they got influenced by. But he changed his style very quickly as he wanted to expand and develop his voice more.
Over time he got really inspired by Bob Marley, and other reggae singers like Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Sizzla, Jah Cure and many more.

When he turned 16, he attended a musical high school, and that’s where he met the members of his still existing reggae band
“Bredda Vybez”,which he first formed together with his best friend Michal “Mike Soulja”.

They started to compose their own material, booked themselves in to festivals, clubs and many other events to get their name out, and from the summer in 2009 and on, they grew on the reggae scene through out their hometown.
