Also let us know your votes for these songs! Ronnie Tober with his English accent you shouldn't miss too! Conny Vandenbos unfortunately passed away in 2002 shortly after she heard she had cancer. She was the winner of the Dutch pre-selection in 1965.
5 Aug 2006, 07:48 by clivedenRonnie Tober was born in Bussum the Netherlands on April 21st, 1945. He moved to Albany, New York in December of 1948 with his mother, father, brothers and sister. Ronnie went to Colonie Village School, West Albany School and on to Colonie Central High School. Ronnie sang with the Saint Peters Boys Choir. Was on the Perry Como Show and sang Öh Holy Night" with Perry Como. Ronnie sang on WRGB, Schenectadys show "Teenage Barn. He also sang for John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon. He did three musicals, "The Boy Friend", "Little Mary Sunshine" and "Running Wild". Ronnie sang for the Netherlands at the Eurovision Songcontest at The Royal Albert Hall in London April 6th, 1968. Ronnie started the Ronnie Tober Foundation, which helps people with a mental Handicap. H.M. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands honoured Ronnie with a Knighthood on December the 27th, 2003. Ronnie is still going strong.
