Biography
Ronen has made his way by playing, writing, producing and performing. Wherever the girls would take him, he’d make a band and be playing gigs. He’s crafted his sound on the road, as a troubadour.
His first peek at the limelight came when he got together with friends to form Mercedes Band. They would release two successful albums and go from obscurity on to festival stages before the road – and a certain woman along it – would beckon to Ronen. So, while Mercedes Band continued their rise, Ronen continued his journey. He now knew, however, that his music had an audience. More, musicians were now looking to him – for his musical production, songwriting and guitar playing. He was growing in all aspects of musicianship all the while honing his own sound.
After a short stint on the road with Funk’nStein, Ronen formed the band Rooster and took them to England. While there, he wrote and composed his first solo album – Brixton Bootleg. In it we begin to see his journey come to life – both in tragedy and triumph. By the time we get to the final track – Time To Move On – Ronen has already done so, as he finishes the album back in Israel with his band that is still with him today.
As Brixton Bootleg begins to form Ronen a fan base, he is again sought after by local musicians and asked to become a part of the super group, Lunacidal Tendencies. Even in this group, he became a stand out performer and, in fact, wrote the music for one of the central tracks, Common Is The Sense, today being played on radio stations across England.
