(1991 – present)

Ron Schaffer is an Americana songwriter. He has traveled, performed, and received radio airplay all over the world. In addition, his friends describe him as an “all around good guy.”

Ron began his artistic career as a young boy when he began writing poetry, playing the piano, and taking guitar lessons. He continued to write poetry well into his teenage years. However, he was inspired to relearn the guitar at the tender age of 17. Ron accidentally stumbled upon a Grateful Dead concert in 1989. He has been quoted as saying, “Damn! What was in those brownies?”

Ron began his professional music career in Chico, California, U.S., in 1991. He began writing original music for a series of rock bands: Free Beer, Usal Road, Pilgrim Simpleton, and The Mood. He then moved to on Los Angeles, CA, where he performed, produced, and recorded several albums: The Peace Butlers, Traveler, and Still Traveling.

Ron has just released his fourth CD, entitled Songwriter’s Collection: Volume 1 The album was produced by Cousin B and Mastered by Terry Howard - both of whom have worked extensively with Ray Charles. This latest album includes the tracks Howard the Jamaican Gardener, Christmas in the Caribbean, and Lady Tomorrow.

Ron currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. He is currently performing, touring, and recording songs throughout the American Southwest. Ironically, his friends still consider him an “all around good guy.”
