Biography

There is more than one artist with this name.

1) Romans, still new on the scene, is already making an impact with their self-released debut “All Those Wrists.” While the chaotic speed of Converge, heavy ambiance of Isis, space-rock of Failure and Cave In, and the balls-out rock of Queens of The Stone Age can be heard on “All Those Wrists.”

2) Romans, a.k.a. The Romans, was an experimental art rock band from the U.S. Its members were Juan Gomez, Keith Mitchell, Michael Uhlenkott and Pat Delaney. They were active in the 1980s and released two albums, “You Only Live Once” and “The Last Days At The Ranch”.

3) Romans (pronounced “romance”) was a one-shot Hello! Project group. Formed in August of 2003, the group was based on the Hello! Project TV show Sexy Onna Jyuku and had a sexy, more mature theme. Its members were Yaguchi Mari and Ishikawa Rika from Morning Musume, Kimura Ayaka from Coconuts Musume, Satoda Mai from Country Musume, and Saito Hitomi from Melon Kinenbi. 18-year-old Rika was the group’s youngest member.

Romans was an R&B-influenced group and had singing and rapping sections, much like 7AIR. The singers of the group were Mari, Rika, and Mai, and the rappers were Ayaka and Hitomi.

Romans released one single in August of 2003. The A-side, “SEXY NIGHT~忘れられない彼~” (“SEXY NIGHT ~Wasurerarenai Kare~”), also appears on the Pucchi Best 4 compilation CD (2003), while the PV appears on its companion DVD (2004).

Oh, and the J-pop group ROMANS only had one single, meaning two songs (and an instrumental), so if the other group /didn't/ get more plays I'd be shocked. ;)

Oh come on. There is absolutely no reason to try and vote out the J-pop group's pictures. Just leave them be and upload more from the other group. Both artists have JUST as much reason to be represented, regardless of popularity levels.
