Hello (I Love You) (1:21)

About this track

“Hello (I Love You)” is a song performed by former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters. The song was created as a collaborative effort with Howard Shore for the 2007 film The Last Mimzy. As Waters stated, “I think together we’ve come up with a song that captures the themes of the movie - the clash between humanity’s best and worst instincts, and how a child’s innocence can win the day”. The song’s music video features images from the film as well as recording sessions with Waters, Shore, producer James Guthrie and actress Rhiannon Leigh Wryn. Waters performed vocals and the bass for the song.

The song itself contains references to the Pink Floyd albums The Wall and The Dark Side of the Moon, as well as Waters’ solo album Radio KAOS.

Rogers vocals on this song are the best they've been since Pros and Cons, studio wise, he has that eeriness still there instead of sounding like an old man

Such a beautiful-yet-dark song. Roger Waters has a talent for these one-off, soundtrack songs. Love it.

and I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it... it resurrects the old Pink Floyd atmosphere. And references - well, Roger have rights to make them ))

Basically hated it at first, but it's grown on me immensely. Only thing I don't like is the The Dark Side of the Moon reference. But yeah, it's still an amazing song.

cool song, didnt like it that much initially. To much is there anybody in there, dark side of the moon in it though. Waters solo work is awesome he don't have to use PF references to write good song.

Closest thing to new pink floyd content in a long time, I love it, plus the links to The Wall and other stuff really make this a great song.

10/10 - Rogers didn't skimp out just because this is a kids movie at all; just amazing lyrically, sooo many references to late Floyd/his solo stuff..... Good form Sir Waters, good form I say!
