Roger Waters & Eric Clapton

Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters and guitar legend Eric Clapton collaborated for Waters 1984 solo album “The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking.” Clapton also toured with Waters on the first leg of the tour to support the album. Although the concerts were not well attended, nor were they ever officially recorded for release, the bootleg recordings are a great treasure for collectors. Fans can hear Clapton’s interpretations on many classic David Gilmour guitar solos. For the first set of the concert, Waters and Clapton performed many Pink Floyd classics, including “Money”, “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun”, “Have a Cigar,” “Hey You,” and “If.” The second half consisted of “The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking” performed in its entirety. Over twenty years later, Clapton and Waters would team up once again for a performance of “Wish You Were Here” in 2005 to benefit victims of the Tsunami.
