Biography

Rockwell Church is Joti Rockwell and Nathan Church Hubbard. Joti and Nathan have been writing music together since they met around the age of 5 in the D.C. area. As children, they would write songs such as “Small Poisonous Frogs” and “Hobo Dog.” They still occasionally perform these songs in concert along side their more current compositions (their touring has been severely limited lately). They made their first album “Inches From The Ground” in 1995 while when they were at separate colleges. Rockwell Church has since gone on to make 3 more full-length albums and 1 EP, working with producer Doug Derryberry.

They toured nationally for a few years before returning to academia, and reducing their tour schedule to select cities which they would visit a few times each year.

Their music is self-described as “Suburban Wussy Rock” - usually two singers with acoustic guitars while touring. Nathan plays some rhythm guitar while Joti provides the accompaniment.

Last heard from, Joti is working in the academic world of bluegrass music. Nathan works for a music publishing company on the East coast.
