“Robert Redford For Bedford & Eric Heath” is an ongoing project between Dominic Clarke and Jack Hunter of “Strap the Button”, and Eric Heath who also records as “EL Heath” and “Loveland” amongst other aliases. “Robert Redford for Bedford” are based in Bristol, mainly in the winter months, and have recorded 2 albums and many many more collaborations with other artists. In January 2007 they were joined by Eric Heath and recorded 3 albums in 3 nights, a trilogy. This collection is known as “Hot Jazz”, with each album made from a different theme, “Hot Jazz 1” is ambient and noise, lots of loopings, “Hot Jazz 2” is toy keyboard jams taken from a 3 year old’s point of view and “Hot Jazz 3” is made of many random ideas that came to be on that last, exhausting night. These will be released, in turn, on the free internet record label, My Formica Table.

On the 3rd of July 2007, joined by Sioned Camlin of “Strap the Button” and “Poolside Tricks”, on djumbe, the first performance of improvisations around the theme of the 3 albums, took place at C:21 in Shrewsbury, on the last “Platform” event. Platform continues as “Platorm Alteration” at the “Old Post Office” also in Shrewsbury. The recording of this can be found on My Formica Table.

The project is ongoing, so much more will become available in the future.

Thank you for listening.
